Reporting Undesirable Effects and Serious Undesirable Effects

Undesirable Effect (UE) – an adverse reaction affecting human health attributable to the normal or reasonably foreseeable use of a cosmetic product.

Serious Undesirable Effect (SUE) – an undesirable effect associated with the use of a cosmetic product that results in temporary or permanent functional incapacity, disability, hospitalization, congenital anomalies, or an immediate risk to life or health.
